Fund-raising 12.03.09

Sharpshooting fund-raisers are on target to help build a school for poverty-stricken youngsters in Malawi.

Massive Attack Paintball in Seaton, County Durham, hosted a charity game to raise funds for teenager Grant Edmundson as he embarks on a school aid trip to the African country.

Grant, one of the marshals at the paintball site, is one of a team of Sunderland High School pupils who will be travelling to Malawi to build a school for local children.

A spokeswoman from Massive Attack said: "We are proud of his efforts and have pledged all the profits of this charity Massive Attack Paintball event to cover the costs of his trip, plus sponsor his work and that of his team in Malawi.

"The building of the school will give the children there a better quality of life by helping them achieve their full potential through education, something we all take for granted.

"It is a small sacrifice on our part and that of the aid working group from Sunderland High School, but the impact on the young people in Malawi will be huge, lasting and life-changing."

Kevin's Squad have a Ball

Wearside legend Kevin Ball brought along Sunderland Football Clubs under 18 squad for a day of paintball at our North East paintball site. The team had a blast on their Christmas outing and Coach Kevin was as ruthless on the battlefield as he used to be on the pitch.

Massive Attack’s site was transformed into a winter wonderland as inches of snow fell on the North East at the start of December. One of our Marshal’s managed to get a few photos of the snow which made the site look totally different.

New "Monster" Trucks arrive at site 29.10.08

Massive Attack Paintball recently acquired two new army vehicles. Although they aren't actually monster trucks in the traditional sense, they are certainly monster sized! With the help of some heavy machinery we managed to get the two giant vehicles up onto the playing fields in time for our first ever Young Guns event. The Vehicles are sure to be a big hit with all our customers and especially our stag groups! Our eight wheeled Tatra truck is now standing tall on the Pyramid field and the Stalwart looks right at home in the Massive Attack War Zone

Massive Attack Staff Attend Big Game 01.10.08

In September Massive Attack's Marshals and site staff attended one of the UKs biggest paintball games, Staargate 2008. The game was held at PowerPlay near Wakefield and attracted over 500 paintballers with roughly 250 people on each team. Massive Attack's staff had the pleasure of playing for the Goodies who turned out to be the winning team, although few cared about the end result!
